This five-star property sits right on Amathus Avenue in Limassol, and I mean right on it, so you’re basically steps from some serious ancient history (the Amathus ruins are literally next door). The lobby feels sophisticated without being stuffy, which is exactly what you want when you’re paying for luxury but don’t want to feel like you can’t relax.

The Location Sweet Spot

Here’s what I love about Agios Tychonas — you’re close enough to Limassol’s action but far enough out to actually hear the waves at night. The hotel’s parking situation is actually fantastic, which anyone who’s driven around Cyprus in summer will appreciate. You can easily pop into the city center for dinner or shopping, but honestly, once you’re here, you might not want to leave. The coastline in this area is particularly gorgeous, and you’re positioned perfectly to catch both sunrise and sunset views depending on which side of the building you’re on.

The Room Experience

My room faced directly out to sea (hence the name, I suppose), and the floor-to-ceiling windows really deliver on that promise. The design feels contemporary but warm — lots of natural materials and that Mediterranean color palette that somehow never gets old. What impressed me most was the attention to detail; the bathroom amenities were top-notch, and the bed was one of those where you actually sleep better than at home. The balcony became my morning coffee spot, and trust me, you’ll understand why couples rate this place so highly for romantic getaways.

The restaurant takes full advantage of that seafront location, and the breakfast spread is — well, it’s what you’d expect from a five-star property, but done really well.
